Crosstown Preachout will take Place on February 10

UC and Xavier Share Preachers and One Campus

For the fourth year, Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati will take part in the Crosstown Preachout. The event takes place Sunday, February 10 at the 10:00 p.m. student mass in Bellarmine Chapel.

 

Unlike previous years, the Preachout will occur on only one campus – that which hosted the most recent Crosstown Shootout. Fr. Al Hirt, OFM, from UC Campus Ministry will come to Xavier to assist Fr. Michael Graham with the liturgy. He will be accompanied by a group of UC students and there will be a social immediately following the Mass.

 

The Crosstown Preachout was created three years ago to bring together students from both universities in a spirit of faith and companionship. 

 

“We have scheduled this year’s Crosstown Preachout with more involvement from the students this year,” says Kelly Albainy-Jenei, Xavier Campus Minister.

 

Albainy-Jenei and Michael Schreiner, one of the UC Campus Ministers, put together a group of about six students from each campus to plan and organize the event.

 

The Preachout is free and open to the public.
