Fifth Annual Madrigal Dinner Presented by Xavier's Department of Music
Guests to enjoy traditional Christmas meal
11/19/07
The Madrigal Dinner will begin with a cocktail hour followed by a traditional Elizabethan feast. Guests will be seated at festively adorned tables where they will enjoy a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings: the Wassail (hot apple cider), the boar’s head (prime rib), and Yorkshire pudding.
Xavier’s Edgecliff Vocal Ensemble, under the direction of Assistant Professor of Music and Master of Ceremonies Tom Merrill, will be seated at the high table, dressed in Renaissance finery. The ensemble will provide musical entertainment throughout the evening. After the dinner, they will sing a brief concert of Christmas favorites. Proceeds from the dinner will support Xavier Music Department productions.
