While 2 different accounts can be logged into at the same time, we do not recommend that you do this because the system may have trouble differentiating the separate accounts. |

Just click 'yes' to continue. If you do not want to see this message when you are passing over secure connections, check the box that says, "Do not show me this again."
If the alert says, 'Macromedia Security Alert settings, myxu.xu.edu is attempting to read from cfpublic.xu.edu.' This is a potentially insecure operation. Do you want to allow it? Select Allow and check the box labeled 'Never ask again'. |

For instructions on how to configure some of the more common pop up blockers, firewalls, and security software (Norton, McAfee, etc...) click here (pdf).
Another option is to temporarily by-pass pop-up blockers. Press the CTRL key while clicking the compose or reply button in e-mail or the attachment. You will need to keep the CTRL key pressed until the new window appears. This works for most but not all pop-up blockers. |

Pop-up blockers will interfere with the functionality of MyXU and may prevent you from composing, replying to e-mail, or opening attachments. Disable any and all pop-up blockers if you find this to be a problem on your system. Or you can customize the blocker to not block the following sites:
http://portal.xavier.edu/
http://luminismsg.xu.edu
http://luminisdbcal.xu.edu

We've noticed this happen to some users when they open a second browser
window while currently logged onto MyXU in another browser window. If the
browser home page setting is set to myxu.xu.edu, opening the second browser
window causes a person to get kicked off in the first browser. To prevent
this from happening set your browser home page to www.xavier.edu instead of
myxu.xu.edu. You can easily access MyXU from www.xavier.edu using the MyXU
portal link in the upper right. |
