Any student may enter a scenic, costume, lighting or makeup design in the Regional Design Competition. These are for unrealized designs only. Each year, the regional design committee puts together a list of shows from which designers must choose. Student designs go through a preliminary screening, and a reasonable number of designs are chosen to go on display. Each of these is orally critiqued by a team of professional designers AND three written critiques are provided to each student. Cash prizes are awarded to first and second place entries in each area.
