Those interested in writing about theatre might be interested in the National Critics Institute. At the Regional Festival, participants in the NCI view the productions presented at the festival. They are asked to write reviews of four of the six performances. Critics also attend workshops on theatre criticism led by renowned theatre critics. One critic is chosen to represent the region at the National Festival in Washington.
