Two student actors from the production will be nominated to participate in the Regional Festival. These students will prepare an audition and perform in front of a panel of judges. After a number of rounds, one student is selected to represent the region at the National Festival in Washington DC in April. These students audition for scholarships.

In addition to a solo audition, each nominee auditions with a partner of his or her choosing. Each region also sends a "best partner" to Washington for a chance at scholarship money.
