Two physics students receive Clare Boothe Luce scholarships
Sophomores Alice Kemme and Anneliese Spaeth recognized as outstanding women in science.
01/14/05Two physics students are the recipients of scholarships from the Clare Boothe Luce Program of the Henry Luce Foundation. The awards are for women science majors. Sophomores Alice Kemme, from Champaign Ill., and Anneliese Spaeth, from Loveland, Ohio, will recieve the scholarships. Both are majoring in physics and math.
The grant provides full scholarships for four fremale undergraduate students in chemistry, computer science, or physics for their junior and senior years. Two additional students will be selected in fall 2005. Only 35 institutions in the U.S. were funded to participate in the program this year.
