Physics in Careers talks continue
Full Contact Physics, a talk by John Curro (XU 76) -- Friday, October 22, 1:30 pm in LND 103
10/15/04John Curro (XU '76) will talk on "Full Contact Physics" on Friday, October 22, 2004 in Lindner Hall, room 103 at 1:30 pm.
Invention starts with an insight... often looking at the same things others have looked at before but seeing those things from a different perspective... which permits a vision of undiscovered solutions.
John Curro is a technologist who has spend the last 22 years creating an array of novel technologies that can be found within many well known household products. From absorbent products to heat wrap pain relievers, and from the newest trash bags to home dry cleaning kits, John's materials and processes help make babies drier, backs nimbler, bags tougher, and clothes fresher.
With over 40 U.S. patents and several patented large-scale industrial processes in production throughout the world, John will share some of his insights and experiences in industrial innovation... and how creative leveraging of simple physical principles can be used as a powerful tool to create amazing new technologies.
