Time Share Computation
In 1968, Dr. Frederick Werner (pictured right) took charge of making Xavier part of one of the first intercollege computer networks. This plaque is located in the main office of Lindner Hall. The plaque reads: "Here Began Academic Time-Sharing Computation at Xavier University Through a Grant From The Kiewit Computation Center, Dartmouth College, 26 October 1968."
