Distinguished Professor's Scholarship

Scholarship plaqueBeginning in 2000, the physics department will give an annual scholarship to a physics major. The recipient will be selected by the full time physics faculty (chairman breaks any ties). The actual monetary value of the award may change annually, and will be cleared through the Financial Aid Office. This amount may be used for any university expenses. The scholarship will be awarded annually in the spring semester. The recipient must have:

  • achieved an outstanding academic record - particularly physics grades
  • demonstrated exceptional intellectual curiosity
  • shown creativity in areas related to physics
  • demonstrated the capability for significant accomplishment in the field of physics
  • completed at least two academic years of study (at least one year at Xavier)
