Astronomical Observations
The physics building has a rooftop observatory with a number of telescopes. They range from from simple to the 12 inch Meade which can be computer controlled. Construction of a warm room was completed in 2001. There is an astronomy lab which meets during the school year, and a few senior projects have been done on astronomical phenomena. Although the location and the weather are not are helpful, the observatory has been very useful in learning about the night sky. The picture to the right is from NASA.
