Peace and Justice Programs

Following nearly 30 years of residing in the Dorothy Day House, Peace and Justice Programs is moving.  Next summer when construction begins on a new residence hall on the corner of Ledgewood and Herald, Peace and Justice Programs will find a new place to call home.  While the details of our location have not yet been ironed out, there is a commitment to ensure that we are given a space that keeps us at the center of student life and with the characteristics necessary for us to continue doing that which is most central to our work: building community.

The Dorothy Day House has been the site of a great deal of history.  We will spend much of the next year remembering and celebrating the people and programs that have made the Dorothy Day House so special. The three key ingredients to three decades of success have been the people, the commitments and the community.  When we move next summer, we will bring all three with us.

I would like to end this letter with a request and a few invitations.  First, please pass this letter on to others.  Second, check us out on line and sign up for our E-Newsletter so we can keep you up to date on what is happening in Peace and Justice Programs by visiting our home page  and join our Facebook group entitled “Xavier University Peace and Justice Programs”.  Finally, swing by and say hello anytime.

Sincerely,
