Supporting Your Student
by Adrian Schiess, Director for Student Success and Retention
An extremely important part of college student success is the support students receive from their parents or guardians. One way to assist your son or daughter is through parental involvement. Basically, it is your awareness of how the year is progressing. We are excited to tell you about a new program at Xavier. The Sophomore Discovery Program has been designed to support students as they move through the challenges and opportunities of the sophomore year. For more information about the Sophomore Discovery Program please go to www.xavier.edu/sophomore.
Throughout the year we will continue to provide a focus on the individual student by collaborating with faculty, academic advising, financial aid and the registrar’s office to assist your son or daughter in having a successful year. Should you or your son or daughter have any questions or problems please do not hesitate to contact one of the staff members in Alter Hall Room 103. Our job is not complete until your son or daughter graduates.
