Students have just returned from their first well-deserved break as we mark the halfway point in the fall semester. Your student soon should have their mid-term grades. This is a good time to remind your student of all the support Xavier has to offer. We have included in this newsletter those resources for you to review.

Family Weekend is quickly approaching Oct. 22-23. It's not late to register. We hope your will join us and be part of the celebration.

Family Weekend
Join us for Family Weekend, Friday, Oct. 22, through Sunday, Oct. 24. The variety of activities includes men's and women's basketball games to a production of the musical Ragtime performed by the Xavier Players. Read the weekend's complete schedule of events.

Dorothy Day Center for Peace and Justice
Learn more about the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice- a combination of people, programs and resources that organizes retreats, community service opportunities and faith-sharing groups for students.

Parents Fund
Consider supporting Xavier by giving to the Parents Fund, part of the University's Annual Fund campaign. Your dollars are needed to cover the gap between tuition costs and the actual cost of educating your students. Read more about it.

Xavier offers a wide variety of free tutoring services for students. Learn more.
Office of the Bursar
A big THANK YOU goes to all parents who have worked to make Xavier's transition to eBill a huge success. Online payments are easy, secure and the fastest way to post payments to your student's bursar account. For more information, read answers to frequently asked questions on the bursar's website.
Flu Vaccines
The winter cold season is just around the corner. To help keep your student healthy, please encourage him or her to get a flu shot. Vaccines are available at the McGrath Health and Wellness Center for $20 each. Call (513) 745-3022 to schedule an appointment. Read more about it.
Office of Student Success and Retention
Priority registration, which gives current students the opportunity to register early for spring semester classes, is Nov. 8-12. For more information, contact the Office of Student Success and Retention at (513) 745-3036, by e-mail or visit in person on the fifth floor of the Michael J. Conaton Learning Commons.
