Dianne Fisk Director's Note

During December we have been running a campaign about the people who have made a significant impact on our students, alumni and Xavier family. One of those people is Father Al Bischoff, S.J.

It’s hard to go through Xavier and not cross paths with Fr. B, as he is affectionately known. You met him at PREP, his home in Husman Hall is shared with hundreds of students each year. His work in campus ministry has touched the lives of hundreds more. His impact has been so great that in 2003 more than 130 alumni from the classes of 1969-1974 got together and established a $75,000 scholarship in his name in honor of his 75th birthday. “He takes you for what you are, makes you feel good about yourself and brings out the best in you,” one of those alums said at the time.

You, as parents, can make a significant impact, too. Your support of the Parents Fund supports the financial aid that makes it possible for our students to come to Xavier and learn why a Jesuit education is so unique. Please visit our special website to learn more about Fr. B and the Jesuit influence and to make your impact through a gift to the Parents Fund.

Wishing you a joyous Christmas and a holiday season filled with peace, love and laughter.

Warmest regards,

Dianne Fisk
