Take the Path of Lease Resistance: Off-Campus Living Tips

Has your son or daughter signed a lease for an off-campus house? Have they moved into their off property or will they be moving into the space in August? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Xavier wants to make sure that you and your student are aware that the Office of Commuter Services and Off Campus Living can help provide guidance and support to your student while they live off campus. The Office of Commuter Services and Off Campus Living not only offers programs for students who live off campus but also assist students in understanding the rights and responsibilities of living off campus.

A Letter from the Office of the Bursar

Welcome to Fall 2011!! The Bursar's Office didn't rest over the summer. We have several changes and some good news to report. First, the changes: We have combined the Payment in Full Plan with the Five Payment Plan. The new plan is called the X-Flex Payment Plan because it provides students/parents the flexibility to pay their bursar account balance in one payment or as many as five payments.

Nothing is more important to us than campus safety. The Xavier University Police Department is dedicated to promoting a safe environment for our students, faculty, staff and visitors. We provide a variety of educational and safety programs for the campus community and maintain a proactive stance in crime prevention and security.

We welcome suggestions that will enhance police services and contribute to campus safety. Shuttle and Courtesy Services

A student shuttle service is available weeknights 5:00 p.m.-12:00 midnight and Friday and Saturday 9:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m. When the shuttle is not operating, Xavier Police offer an escort service anywhere on campus. Xavier Police are also available to assist motorists on campus. Read more about campus safety initiatives.

Check Out the Learning Assistance Center

The new school year is quickly approaching, and Learning Assistance Center (LAC) staff members are preparing to welcome students back to campus. The LAC is one of many offices at Xavier that is committed to supporting students' success.

Take a Tour of the New Hoff Dining Commons
The Hoff Dining Commons, located in the New Residence Hall, will seat 700 at 155 tables. About 100 pizzas will be baked, per day, in a stone hearth pizza oven in the Dining Commons which opens Aug. 21. No less than 125 flavors will be available in each of the two Coke Freestyle machines being installed there.
