To apply for Guatemala 2012:
- Complete the application entitled X. U. Study Abroad Application for Admission. For the question that asks why you are a good candidate, be sure to include your competency in speaking Spanish as well as your experience working in pediatrics with wheelchairs, feeding, and sensory-based/play as these are the areas for which experience is needed. Submit this application by Dec 16, 2011, to the Department of Occupational Therapy.
- Write a paragraph appending it to the application indicating your relationship to Xavier University’s Department of Occupational Therapy (e.g., who you know and how). Those with established and strong connections need not submit further information. For those unknown to the Department, additionally, schedule a 15-20 minute interview with the GA team during January 9 – 13 , 2012 - do so by calling or emailing Tina Forschler, the secretary in the Department of Occupational Therapy, at 513-745-3150 or forschler@xavier.edu. The purpose of the interview will be to determine your suitability for such an experience. This interview will ideally occur in person; however, a phone interview may be acceptable.
- Sit back and relax – you will be notified of your acceptance status on or around January 20, 2012.
