Donations

Each trip participant will be asked to carry to Guatemala a suitcase full of donations. Donations are given to the homes of children visited and/or to Steve Osborn of Amor del Nino who serves as our in-country host. If Steve cannot use the items at his own home that provides care for almost 50 children (most who are under 2 years of age), he is well-connected with other NGO’s who also serve children and are grateful for such gifts.

Donations are typically collected throughout the year and stored at Xavier University. All trip participants are welcome to give donations and/or solicit donations; however, neither is required. Yet, many family members and friends of the participants may feel led to give donations. To that end, a list of donations that will be appreciated and put to good use can be found on a blogspot entry (the blogspot that is used to communicate with home while in-country).
