Greetings!
The Office Multicultural Affairs (OMA) at Xavier University would like to sincerely welcome you to our comprehensive home page. The overarching mission of the OMA is to assist students of color with their academic, social, and spiritual growth. This is done through collaboration within the Division of Student Life and Leadership, Academic Affairs and a variety of other offices.
In addition, the OMA seeks to educate the entire campus around issues that affect students of color at Xavier. Cultural programming, diversity workshops and partnerships with colleagues on campus are the primary vehicles for raising awareness and understanding. Because we exist in an academic environment, OMA has at its heart, scholastic and intellectual growth. Students are strongly encouraged to be an integral part of the Xavier academic community, in and out of the classroom. As you navigate through the OMA website, you will find multiple programs and organizations that deal with a wide array of issues.
Whether it's engaging the Xavier community in conversation on race or conducting the Smooth Transitions orientation program, the OMA is actively participating in educating the whole student. We recognize that students exist on three primary levels and we aim to impact the spiritual person, the academic person, and the social person. Finally, we encourage you to visit other Xavier sites. Xavier is an educational community that is well connected and collaborative in nature. Thanks for visiting our site.
Robert, Tekeia, Leslie and Brandie wish you a safe and productive day!
