What a whirlwind of a year it’s been.
I know everyone says this every year, but it truly feels like 2006-07 flew by faster than the Campus Police golf cart on its way to the Pig Roast.
Is it really time to start looking for a better summer job than assistant manager at Pizza Hut (unless, of course, you’re a senior)?
Has it actually been more than 20 weeks since anyone has been asked, “Wha’ chu want?!” or told to “Get a tray!” by the ever-so-gentle former Burger King workers?
Was it honestly more than eight months ago when a new crop of freshman could yell, “I want a standing ovation!” and have a squad of exuberant but exhausted upperclassmen suspend their “Boom-Chicka-Boom” cheer to stand and applaud?
Worse yet, did Ron Lewis honestly make that shot?
Sadly, the answer to all is a resounding yes.
And while it’s now time to look ahead to the new experiences and opportunities in the forthcoming weeks, months and years, I invite you to take a few moments to look back at the best of the year that was.
Thanks, Xavier, for the memories.
