Dystopic ‘V’ is ‘A’ for ‘Awesome’

The movie "V for Vendetta" is a visually extravagant film that stirs a stew of gory violence with a political ladle.

Political allegory and comic-book sentimentality hoist this film above most of the recent 2006 releases. Despite the fact that the film was directed by a first-timer, James McTeigue, the cinematography is outstanding.

Ask Mr. Bargin

Dear Mister Bargain,

If you’re not supposed to talk on your phone while you’re driving, how come they make cell phone chargers for your car? Eh? Get it? Ha! This is a serious question, though, and I am going to use it as an opener in my forthcoming stand-up act.
