- March 15, 2006 - In a continuing effort to maintain an environment of diversity at Xavier, the Office of Multicultural Affairs will celebrate the history of women of color with "Women at the Crossroads: The Conversation Continues," This series of events begins March 8 and will continue for the rest of March, which is Women’s History Month. On Monday, the Williams College of Business hosted the first annual Business Plan and Elevator Pitch competition to allow students the opportunity to pitch business ideas to a panel of experts. The event took place from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in the Schiff Family Conference Center. The panel was composed of small business counselors and venture capitalists. The event was sponsored by SCORE and Xavier’s Entrepreneurial Center. SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small businesses nationwide. |
