- December 7, 2005 - The re-opening of the
women’s center Years ago, Xavier had a women’s center on campus called the Breen Lodge. After a 25-year absence, an effort is being made to bring the women’s center back to campus. The planning committee for the new women’s center is laying the groundwork for what they hope to be a safe, comfortable place for the community to gather and focus on issues that are pertinent to women. 2005: The year you already
almost forgot As you studious peers feel the pressure of finals week, the drain of planning your Christmas break sabbaticals, and the sting of Jack Frost chilling your innards, we here at the Newswire thought it would be nice to take a glance back at the year we have already almost forgotten. Ah, the memories. Given the tremendous litany of foreign, national, and local events perhaps the easiest way to let the truth go down smooth would be a list of # made-up adjectives to summarize the year 2005.
