Xavier’s Student Government Association
is taking a proactive step toward addressing future issues of harassment
and discrimination with appointing a Student Director of Diversity.
The position is geared to be a peer advocate and
point of contact within SGA for students who have concerns related
to discrimination and harassment issues.
Paul Rusesabgina, real-life Hotel Rwanda manager,
may or may not have found a mint under his pillow during his stay
at Xavier, but he was greeted by an arena full of fans and admirers.
The Brueggeman Center for Dialogue and Student
Government Association were able to successfully bring world famous
Paul Rusesabagina to campus to speak to Xavier faculty, staff, students
and the general public at 7 p.m. last Wednesday, in the Cintas Center.
