Opera Workshop wines and dines

Five-course French dinner with music entertainment offered

The Opera Workshop presents its fund-raising dinner “Belle Nuit,” Friday, Oct. 18, and Saturday, Oct. 19. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. in the Long Recital Hall located in Edgecliff Hall. “Belle Nuit” is a five-course French dinner with live entertainment. While being served their meal, patrons are sung to by Opera Workshop students. Songs include scenes from the operas “Carmen,” “Manon” and “Romeo et Juliette.” In addition, the University’s ballet dancers are performing a routine from “Carmen.” Other Opera Workshop events for the year include an opera luncheon, a performance of the opera “Dido and Aeneas” and Bravissimi, an Italian dinner with famous Italian opera scenes.
