Students host second annual Rudi Johnson clinic to raise awareness about bone marrow donations
Clinic for children ages 9-12 takes place Saturday, May 10, on the soccer field

Sport management students are hosting the second annual Rudi JohnsonYouth Football Clinic on Saturday, May 10, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. for ages 9-12 at the soccer complex. The Rudi Johnson Foundation is holding this event to assist in funding Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center guest services and the National Bone Marrow Awareness Campaign.Recently, the sport management students donated $4,000 to the Rudi Johnson Foundation. This is the second consecutive year the students have elected to support the foundation.
The Sport Management class, taught by Kristi Sweeney, is one of four classes this semester that are part of the philanthropy program. Each class receives $4,000 to donate to a charity or charities consistent with the theme of the class. The program is fully funded by Roger Grein, a Cincinnati businessman and philanthropist. Since 2002, the philanthropy program has donated more than $100,000 in grants to local charities and foundations.
