The Office of Multicultural Affairs is sponsoring the 13th annual Women of Color Luncheon on Wednesday, March 26, from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Cintas Center with guest speaker and Procter & Gamble executive Susan Mboya.

A native of Kenya, Mboya is the global marketing director for Oral B Power Brushing. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with a BS in pharmacy, she obtained a MS and PhD in industrial pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston. She returned to East Africa after college to begin a career at P&G as a product development manager, and moved from Nairobi to Minneapolis to become brand manager of P&G’s customer marketing team for Target Stores.

Mboya is also the founder of the Zawadi program, a college scholarship program that benefits needy young women. She was awarded a Jack Avrett Spirit Award from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) for her work with Zawadi and a place in the AAF Hall of Achievement. The Zawadi program saw its first student graduate cum laude in 2006 from Miami University, and has successfully worked with Xavier’s Office of International Student Services to bring female African students to this campus.
