03/07/08President and Chief Operating Officer of Dun & Bradstreet Sara Mathew is speaking on Wednesday, March 12, from 8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m. in Duff Banquet Hall. Mathew’s is the inaugural presentation for the Williams College of Business Distinguished Speakers Series for 2008.
Mathew is president and chief operating officer of Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) and a member of the company’s board of directors. She joined D&B as its chief financial officer in 2001 and has played a key role in leading the company’s transformation into a high-performing growth company. Before joining D&B, Mathew spent 18 years at Procter & Gamble, where she served in a number of executive positions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry and mathematics from Women’s Christian College in Madras, India and an MBA from Xavier in 1984. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Campbell Soup Co.
During her presentation at Xavier, Mathew will discuss “The Role of Leadership in Driving Transformation.”
The Distinguished Speakers Series brings top-level business, academic and political leaders to campus to discuss world issues, introduce new ideas, generate discussion and further the educational mission of the college. Additionally, students, faculty, alumni and members of the business community have the opportunity to interact with the speaker at each event.
