Photo exhibit judged on technical and artistic merit and a sense of place or culture outside the United States

12/07/07

The Romero International Center, the division of student life and leadership, the office of marketing and printing services, and the departments of art and alumni relations are hosting the University’s second annual International Photo Contest. Students capture different places around the world on film in a manner that exhibits high technical and artistic merit and a sense of place or culture outside the United States.

The contest is accepting submissions until Dec. 19. The competition is open to students (both graduate and undergraduate), faculty, staff and, new this year, alumni. Submission forms are available in the office of international student services (230 Gallagher Student Center), 144 Cohen or the office of marketing and printing services (Alumni Center). High resolution images should be submitted on a CD to the office of international student services by the Dec. 19 deadline.

All contest finalists will have their photos displayed in the Faces of the World lounge in the Gallagher Student Center, which showcases images of different cultures from around the world.

Contest winners will receive prizes donated by Xavier University photographer Greg Rust and Canon. For more information, including the contest submission form and a photo gallery of last year's finalists, please visit www.xavier.edu/internationalphotos.
