Lecture series focuses on serial killers in antiquity

08/31/07Professor Debbie Felton is exploring “The Case of Serial Killers in Antiquity” as part of this year's John W. Rettig Lecture on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 4:30 p.m. in the Conaton Board Room.
Felton earned her Ph.D. in Classics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 and teaches at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she specializes in Greek mythology and folklore. She is the author of Haunted Greece and Rome: Ghost Stories from Classical Antiquity and more than a dozen scholarly articles and reviews.
The lecture series is named to honor John W. Rettig, former classics professor, for his work on behalf of Xavier University, the department of classics and the honors bachelor of arts program.
