All Xavier and Edgecliff alumni are invited to the 2006 Reunion Weekend, June 15-17, as the University celebrates its 175th anniversary.

In years past only classes celebrating five-year anniversaries (5, 10, 15, etc.) were invited to Reunion Weekend. Hundreds of alumni are expected to attend and some are opting to stay at one of the on-campus residence halls to help relive their college days.

The 13th annual Reunion Weekend gets underway Thursday, June 15, with a reception at the new Surkamp Family Welcome Center in the Alumni Center. On Friday, June 16, alumni have a choice of participating in a golf outing at Walden Ponds Golf Center or taking a B&B Riverboat luncheon cruise. That evening there are cocktail parties for five-year anniversary classes as well as a cocktail party for all alumni at the Duff Banquet Center.

Friday evening also marks a special event for the class of 1956, celebrating its 50th anniversary. Members of the class of 1956 are being inducted into the Half-Century Club during a dinner in the Conaton Board Room.

Alumni can relive their days in the classroom by taking part in the 9th annual Classes Without Quizzes seminars on Saturday, June 17. The seminars are both educational and fun and cover topics such as faux painting, selling on eBay, wine tasting, and protection against identity theft.

There are also opportunities to take campus tours, eat in the student dining hall and even enjoy a reunion at Dana Gardens.

The weekend winds up Saturday evening with Mass in the Kohlhepp Auxiliary Gym at the Cintas Center followed by an all-reunion dinner in the Duff Banquet Center. The dinner includes a special 175th anniversary program and the distinguished Alumnus Award is being presented.
