Assistant golf coach enters qualifying round of Champions Tour

Tom Elfers one of 110 players competing in Florida for just seven spots

Tom Elfers, assistant golf coach at Xavier, is currently competing in the first round of the Champions Tour Qualifying Tournament in Coral Springs, Fla.

His efforts were the focus of The Cincinnati Enquirer columnist Paul Daughterty's Nov. 19 column, titled "Is He Champion Material?"
