University has busy weekend
Family weekend, athletics, theater, music and more taking place

The University is a busy spot this weekend, with events happening on all frontssocial, cultural, athletic and academic.
Parents and siblings are visiting campus as part of
family weekend. Various activities are planned for the two-day event.
WVXU is bringing the Celtic band
Solas to town on Sunday for a concert at the 20th Century Theatre.
Xavier Players are presenting
To Kill a Mockingbird at the Gallagher Student Center theater.
The service organization Men for Others is putting on a
Halloween dance party on Sunday.
The department of theology is beginning a series of events celebrating
the 40th anniversary of the Second Vatican Council on Sunday, with guest speaker Robert Kaiser, who covered the event for
Time magazine.
The
Xavier piano, guitar and jazz series features Brian Ganz performing on Sunday.
The music department has a
faculty recital on Sunday.
And the
University's athletic teams are in competition this weekend. All of the teams are out of town except the rifle team and the women's soccer team, which has two matches. Its Friday night game was postponed until Saturday afternoon.
