Xavier University Selects Vice President for Finance

Beth Amyot, senior vice president and chief financial officer at Xavier University, announces the appointment of Rob Munson of Taylor Mill (41015) as vice president for Finance, effective August 16, 2012.

Munson has been at Xavier since 2003 and was recently promoted to assistant vice president for Planning and Budgeting. Prior to joining Xavier University, Rob held positions of controller and vice president for Finance and Administration and chief financial officer for two years at Thomas More College. His corporate experience includes 12 years as vice president of Finance and chief financial officer at CBS Personnel Services, and five years at KPMG where he attained the position of tax manager.

Munson earned his MBA at Xavier University in 2008, and his BBA in Accounting at the University of Cincinnati in 1985. He has been a certified public accountant since 1988 and holds an active license in the State of Ohio.

As vice president for Finance, Munson will provide leadership to the financial and business affairs of the University. He will be responsible for ensuring financial and business polices and processes, and see that services are developed and executed to advance the mission and priorities of the University. He will lead Treasury, Controller’s Office, Purchasing, and Auxiliary Services and Support.
