Muskies End Losing Streak
This past weekend the Muskies rebounded from four straight losses to Michigan-Flint and Holy Cross to sweep the Hoosiers of IU. Friday night saw the muskies come back numerous times to tie the game and eventually take the lead in the third and hold on to win by a score of 8-4. The Muskies' Pat Reidy had 4 goals and 1 assist in the win. Other goals came from Brian Campbell, Jake Van Oenen, Cully Naramore, and Connor Barnes. Scott Caine also had a great game between the pipes.
Saturday's game was another back in forth battle but saw the Muskies come out on top once again thanks to a strong third period. Pat Reidy had another 5 point day with 3 goals and 2 assists. Malachi Henry and Scott Chesnek both had 2 goals and another came from Tim Becka. The final score of Saturday's contest was 8-6. Saturday was also Xavier Hockey Alumni Day. Several Alumni members came out for the game and enjoyed a cookout afterwards. A good time was had by all and everyone is looking forward to more alumni weekends in the years to come. Current members would like to thank all the Alumni who came out and for all their support.
The muskies will continue to practice but will not have a game until December 3rd when they travel to Granville, OH to take on the Denison Big Red. The Muskies are 2-0 this season against Denison and are looking to sweep the season series. The Muskies would like to thank everyone for their support so far this season and hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving. GO X!
