Xavier Students Hit the Streets on Saturday

March 21, 2013

Xavier’s spring Community Action Day is this Saturday, March 23 from 9am – 1pm. Approximately 200 students will be at 20+ diverse sites all around Cincinnati.

Community Action Day is Xavier's largest community service event. It allows the Xavier community to work with our surrounding neighborhoods and partner organizations to live our mission to be “men and women for and with others”. Community Action Day is sponsored by the Dorothy Day Center for Faith & Justice.

At 9:00 a.m., students will gather on the lawn in front of the Gallagher Student Center (inside if raining) to sign up for a service site and enjoy a free breakfast. At 9:30 a.m., after a brief welcome and blessing, students will leave for service sites (even if raining). They return to campus around 12:30 p.m. to reflect and enjoy a complimentary lunch together.
