Xavier Hires Assistant VP for Audit & Risk Management

Xavier University Senior Vice President and CFO, Marybeth Amyot, announces that Jeff Coleman has joined Xavier University as Assistant Vice President for Audit and Risk Management. Coleman is responsible for directing and managing the internal audit and compliance function of the University and for the development and coordination of Xavier’s university-wide risk management and campus safety programs. He began this new role March 5.

A native of Northern Kentucky, he brings a strong background, with 24 years of progressive experience in the Greater Cincinnati area. He began his career with Ernst & Young and has worked in various audit or risk-related capacities at the HJ Heinz Co., Convergys, Cincinnati Bell, and the FBI.

Coleman earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Northern Kentucky University and is a CPA, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He currently lives in Northern Kentucky with his wife and two daughters.

The AVP position reports to the Senior Vice President and CFO and has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Chair of the Audit Committee of the Board of Trustees.
