Xavier Faces Denison

Xavier looks to win the last two games of the first semester | December 3, 2010

Xavier Ice Hockey is traveling to Granville, OH this weekend to take on the Big Red of Denison University. Xavier is coming off two straight wins over IU. The Muskies are 2-0 this season against DU beating the Big Red 15-1 and 13-3 in early October. The Muskies hope to sweep the season series against Denison and take a four game winning streak into the Christmas break. These are the last two games for the Muskies in the first semester this year. The Muskies have been working with new power play units this past week in practice and they hope these new units will breed more success on the power play. Scott Caine will be starting between the pipes once again for Xavier, he is still looking for his first shutout of the season. The puck drops at 9 pm tonight at the Newark Ice Arena and then tomorrow afternoo at 4 pm. Check back this weekend for the results of the games and a summary of them as well. GO X!
