Xavier Celebrates International Education Week with Dancing, Dinner and More

November 13, 2008

Dancing, film screenings and an international dinner are just some of the attractions for Xavier University’s celebration of National International Education Week November 16-22.

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange. The joint imitative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of an effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for the global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to learning and exchange experiences in the United States. Xavier’s diverse student body enhances this opportunity to engage the Xavier community to consider what it can offer the global community and showcases the impact of international education on Xavier.

Activities during the week include an International Fashion Show and Dinner on Saturday, November 22 in the Conaton Board Room located in Schmidt Hall, as well as week-long music appreciation in the Gallagher Student Center.

Other activities during the week are listed below. All events listed below are open to the public and free, unless noted otherwise. For more information please contact the Romero International Center at 513-745-2864.
