Williams College of Business again ranked among nation's best undergraduate business schools by Bloomberg Businessweek

03/09/11

The Williams College of Business is once again ranked among the best in the nation in Bloomberg Businessweek’s sixth annual ranking of “The Best Undergrad Business Schools” in the country. Of the 139 schools included in the rankings, Williams is ranked No. 76, up from No. 79 in 2010. This is the third year in a row Xavier is included in the list.

For the second year in a row, the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business was ranked as the number one undergrad business school. Virginia, Emory, Pennsylvania and Cornell round out the top five.

The methodology used by Bloomberg Businessweek to rank the programs incorporates nine measures, including surveys of senior business majors and corporate recruiters, median starting salaries for graduates and the number of alumni each program sends to top MBA programs. An academic quality rating for each program is also created by combining average SAT scores, student-faculty ratios, class size in core business courses, the percentage of students with internships and the number of hours students devote to class work.

Expanded content, including the full ranking and methodology, interactive tables and a discussion forum are available online at Bloomberg Businessweek.
