Xavier University and the Department of Art are pleased to present a thesis exhibition by Sara Middleton entitled Dinner for 9 Dozen. The artist opening reception is Friday, December 11 from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Please join us for a unique “dinner” presenting 9 dozen hand-painted plates by Sara Middleton. Ms. Middleton whose thesis is in graphic design, makes the following statement about her work, “Just as we all have our own distinct personalities and qualities, that make us who we are, I related these traits in patterns and colors on 9 dozen plates. Each plate has it’s own story, just like any of our have our own story, many generations apart…where one alone may not look powerful, as a group they shine.”

Also on display, The Rome Experience, an exhibition of works on paper by Xavier University students. The works were produced on-site this summer during a three-week course in Rome, Italy as well as upon return to the States. Both art exhibitions will continue through December 18.
