Muskies Look to Sweep Cards Once Again

Xavier won first two meetings | January 21, 2011

Xavier Ice Hockey will be taking on the Cardinals from The University Of Louisville this weekend. Xavier won the first two meetings against the Cards earlier this season. Both games ended with the Muskies prevailing 10-4. But Coach Driscoll has made sure his team will not go into the weekend lightly. The Cards record is indicative of improved play since the last meeting. Coach Driscoll feels that the Muskies have also come a long way since the October showdown. This week the muskies worked on their power play line again to make sure the execution rate will be higher. Another focus was clearing out the front of the net to eliminate second chance opportunities for the Cardinals. The Cards have a bit of an advantage having played games since the Christmas Break. Come out and watch your "Boys of Winter" at the Gardens this weekend. The puck drops on Friday at 10:45pm and Saturday at 2:00pm. It is also Senior Day on Saturday, come out and support your Senior Muskies. Check back for score updates and review of the games. And as always, GO X!
