MBA Alum to Speak on Sustainability in Global Business.
Scott Griffin is Chief Sustainability Officer for Greif, Inc.
Scott R. Griffin, a Xavier MBA alum, has recently been named the Chief Sustainability Officer for Greif, Inc., a worldwide leader in industrial packaging products and services. In his global role, Griffin is responsible for leading the development of Greif's sustainability strategy and works with communities, governments and NGO partners to reach the company's sustainability goals in energy, carbon and water. He serves as the company's liaison delegate to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and the Clinton Global Initiative and is the executive focal point for Greif's partnership with The Conservation Fund. Griffin also teaches courses on Strategy and Sustainability at The Ohio State University's Fisher Graduate School of Business.
In his talk with us, Scott will be discussing Greif's sustainability journey as well as best practices he believes are critical to making today's global business more sustainable in the future.
An announcement of the Williams College of Business Sustainability Goals for 2012-2013 will also take place, along with the introduction of a new business student organization - Net Impact.
