Professor of Computer Science Dr. Gary Lewandowski will share his experience teaching MATH 125 at Xavier. He says:
I will be talking about the MATH 125 Mathematical Perspectives course I'm running this semester on Puzzles and Problem Solving. This will be an experience report on how things are going so far. I'll provide some puzzles that appear to be useful, discuss the process we are encouraging in the course (through these puzzles), and hopefully engage us all in a discussion of how to make this course and the courses we take and offer more useful related to the grand question of problem solving and quantitative literacy.
This event will take place on Wednesday, March 27 at 1:30pm in G27 Smith Hall. Light refreshments will be available 15 minutes prior to the start of seminar.
