Just Off Victory Community Garden

Xavier's First Community Garden kicks off!

05/04/09

The “Just Off Victory” Community Garden is a unique initiative spearheaded by Peace & Justice Programs to promote and facilitate a motion of faculty, staff, and students toward a more healthy, sustainable lifestyle. Composed of 6 plots, portions of the garden are tended by teams of faculty/staff and students from departments and offices across the University including Theology, International Student Services, Project SEARCH, Biology, and Montessori Education. Bi‐monthly educational and community building events are scheduled to engage the University community and beyond. The garden serves as a gathering place both formally and informally where relationships can be built, lessons learned, and the quality of campus life improved. So, come to one of the Thursday workshops or just drop by and enjoy the garden over lunch at our picnic table! Come help us cultivate community at the Just Off Victory Community Garden! Contact Molly Robertshaw at robertshawm@xavier.edu or x3560 for the schedule of events or for more information.
