THE 2012-2013 IHSA SEASON HAS COME TO AN END, BUT THAT DOES NOT STOP XUET!

On Saturday March 2, 2013, XUET sent 4 members to IHSA Regionals. The regional show took place at Morehead State University. Driving out the day before, the girls all prepared to take on the MSU horses and ride their best, proving that everything they worked for this year paid off. These 4 girls were able to represent XUET proudly that weekend, 3 of the 4 bringing home ribbons.

Ellen Davis (SR): Brought home the BLUE in Intermediate Fences, she will move onto Zones that will take place on April 6 in West Virginia. This is a big accomplishment for Ellen, she has worked very hard the past four years and has pointed up and attended regionals all four years of her college experience. Congrats Ellen, and GOOD LUCK AT ZONES! We are all proud of you!

Alex Calvert (SR): Brought home an 8th Place in Novice Fences, Congrats Alex, you have had a great IHSA experience. Alex is a regionals qualifier all 4 years of her IHSA career. She even has been to Zones, which she WON, and moved onto Nationals. Though the ribbon was not colored blue this year, Alex rode great and deserves a big round of applause for her stellar ride!

Lauren Heft (SO): Brought home a purple 7th place in Novice Fences. Even though Alex and Lauren were hoping to go 1 and 2, they were proud that they were both able to make it to Regionals and ride together one last time. This is Lauren's second time going to regionals, she went her Freshman year in Novice Flat. Lauren will move up into Intermediate Fences next year and is already planning on working hard and making it to regionals in hopefully both Intermediate Flat and Fences!

Stevie Manhart (JR): Stevie rode very well in her Novice Flat Class, but it was just not her day. Her team cheered her on though and high fived her as she walked out of the ring. We are all just happy to represent our school and prove to the bigger teams out their that our small, but growing, team is ready to BRING IT!

Congrats to all Regional Qualifiers!

A special congrats to senior Ellen Davis:
“THREE CHEERS FOR ELLEN, THE BEST OF THEM ALL!”

Good luck at Zones Ellen!
