Former FBI Agent Makes Donation to Xavier's Criminal Justice Department
Money will be used for scholarships

The donation is part of the J. Edgar Hoover Memorial Scholarship which is supported by the Society of Former FBI Agents. Scholarships are awarded annually to colleges chosen by Society members from each of the six regions of the Society and one from the host chapter of the National Convention. The individual members are selected by a random drawing at the Society National Convention. Seven scholarships, in the amount of $2,500 are awarded to the selected colleges.
Lichtenfeld was selected as the representative from the north central region and selected his alma mater of Xavier University to receive the monies.
“It is important to give back,” said Lichtenfeld. “I’m honored to be able to give back to Xavier.” Lichtenfeld earned his Master’s degree in corrections from Xavier in 1982. He retired from the FBI in 1992.
