Community Building Institute to Share Best Practices with Dayton

Xavier University’s Community Building Institute (CBI) will present at the second annual Dayton Neighborhood Conference this Saturday, September 12, at the Dayton Convention Center. Presented by the City of Dayton Department of Planning & Community Development, the conference is themed “Dayton Beautiful: Original People, Places & Dreams” and will present resources and information for neighborhood leaders and “reinventing” neighborhoods.
 
CBI will present “Celebrating Community: Finding Hope in Uncertain Times” and “Strength-Based, Citizen-Driven Community Planning.” Other workshops will discuss schools, community development, turning vacant lots into community gardens, etc.
