Xavier Univesity welcomed author Lisa Arthur to campus on Friday, May 23rd as she spoke to the EMBA cohort of 2015 about data, marketing, and the future.
Professor Russell Lacey, Associate Professor of Marketing, invited Ms. Arthur to speak to his MKTG 700 course on its final class meeting. Incorporating the book into his tenure with the class, the students had read and studied her book (Big Data Marketing). Their academic work was presented to her and insightful discussions on the nature of data and marketing and the development of strategies based on the intersection of the two took place.
Ms. Arthur is the Chief Marketing Office for Teradata Applicaitons. She serves as an industry thought-leader driving Integrated Marketing Management (IMM) applications for Teradata Corporation. A 30-year technology industry marketing veteran, Lisa has received numerous awards and is a frequent speaker and prolific writer who masterfully combines a distinctive energy and enthusiasm with her depth of knowledge when sharing her thoughts on today’s most compelling marketing topics.
Arthur's recent honors include the DMNews 2013 “Marketing Hall of Femme” honoring today's top women marketers, the American Business Association's 2012 Gold “Stevie Award” for Marketing Executive of the Year, and in both 2012 and 2011 she was named a “Woman to Watch” by the Sales and Lead Management Association. She is also a Trustee with the Marketing Sciences Institute.
