Author Tim Wise discusses White Like Me at Northern Kentucky University

Tim Wise's latest book is Between a Barack and a Hard Place: Racism and White Denial in the Age of Obama.
TRANSPORTATION TO THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED due to the University wide precautions against the spread of the H1N1 flu.
The Office of Multicultural Affairs and Peace and Justice Programs invite students, faculty and staff to attend a lecture featuring author Tim Wise on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 12:15pm at Northern Kentucky University. A bus will leave Bellarmine Circle at 11:30am. Both departments are encouraging White students and others of diverse population to attend this event to begin conversations about racial identity and white privilege.
Prior to departure at 11:00am, participants are invited to a brief overview in Gallagher Student Center, Room 280, to talk about the speaker and give the students questions and concepts to consider while at the lecture.
After the program at 2:00pm, a conversation will take in Gallagher Student Center, Room 280, not only to talk about the lecture, but also discuss White privilege, racial identity development and race relations.
